Exhibition and film screenings
On Friday, the 2nd of October at 7 p.m., the Maxine in Bad Ems will host an interactive experience space focused on the theme of water.
“Bodies of Water" is a curatorial project by students from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Mainz Academy of Fine Arts.
The exhibition has a hydrofeminist focus and examines water as a resource, an unruly medium, something fearsome, and the unknown familiar in our everyday lives. The informative exhibition is connected with two extraordinary films on the topic of water. The films being shown are “The Lure – Siren Song" (PL, 2015), a visually striking horror musical, and “Leviathan" (US, UK, FR, 2012), a raw, immersive documentary about deep-sea fishing.
Doors open at 7 p.m., Screening 1 (The Lure, OmdU) begins at 8 p.m., Screening 2 (The Lure, OmdU) at 10:30 p.m.
The films are aimed at an adult audience.
Admission is free, and all interested parties are warmly welcome.
