Lahnradweg cycle route

River romance by pedal

On two wheels on one of the most idyllic rivers in Germany

From the source to the mouth of the Lahn, i.e. from the Rothaargebirge to Lahnstein, the Lahnradweg offers 245 km of completely relaxed cycling fun. The path runs mostly directly along the river, away from car traffic and hectic, very romantic. The landscape varies from colourful meadows and green hills to steep slopes and rocks. You should definitely plan plenty of time to linger and visit, as the path is accompanied by enchanted castles, defiant fortresses and ornate churches. The Lahnradweg also connects numerous towns and small towns with very different charms.
