Oranienstein Castle - elegant and musical
Castle Oranienstein, one of the most beautiful baroque castles on the river Lahn, was the residence of the Oranians, the ancestors of the Dutch King Willem Alexander. The Marshal's Hall, the Blue and Gold Hall, the Garden Cabinet, the Palace Chapel, the Baroque staircase and the reception room can be visited in the magnificent grounds. Oranienstein Palace is famous for its beautiful stucco ceilings.
In the museum Nassau-Oranien the history of the Dutch royal house is presented. Also worth seeing are the park and the small pleasure garden on a rocky peak above the river Lahn. Interesting castle and garden tours.
