Invitation to the fitness hikes with the Taunus Club in December 2025
Now a fixed institution that is part of the weekly schedule for many, the fitness group of the Taunusklub Bad Ems is always out on Thursdays. Regularly and punctuallyit kicks offwith a distance of about 10 km being walked calmly but not sluggishly – it's not a stroll. The immediate surroundings around Bad Ems offer a variety of hiking opportunities. After some time, the same path can also be retraced. The different seasons provide a different impression.
In addition to the approx. 10 km hikes, there is an additional hiking offer,which is well-received. This takes placewithin the framework of the fitness hikes and is aimed at anyone who can no longer climb our mountains well and cannot hike such long distances. The meeting point for the hikes and the final stop usually remains the same for everyone. The (part)-B-group hikes a shorter distance (5 to 8 km) with fewer inclines.
Everyone who enjoys hiking and wants to experience our beautiful homeland in the fresh air is warmly invited to join the hikes. Participation is free, only any possible travel costs are to be reimbursed. The hike on the first Thursday of the month is always planned and carried out with as few inclines as possible.
On December 4, the meeting point is at 9:30 AM at the Lidl parking lotat the Westbahnhof. From there, the route goes via the Ernst-Vogler-Weg, the (almost) Bismarckhöhe, and Westersbach towards Repselskopf. From there, we will hike along the Lahnhöhenweg towards Höhenhaus, further into the valley of Unterbach and back along it to the Lahn with a stop at the “Pizzeria Roma” near the campsite.
The “B” group will hike along the valley of the Lahn to Dausenau and take the train back.
On December 11, the meeting point is again at 9:30 AM at the Lidl parking lot at the Westbahnhof. From there, the route goes via Kurpark, Schillerallee, and Hasenbergweg to Sonnenhalde and (almost) Repselskopf. From the path intersection, we will then go via Untertalen and Schlesierweg to Trümmerborn. From there, the path leads back over Seitrich, Walme, and Amselweg, ending with a rest at “Alt Ems”.
On December 18, the meeting point for the “A”-group is at 9:30 AM in Arzbacher Straße at No. 18 for the “year-end hike”. We will first hike via the “Bergbauweg” to the Adolfschacht and further to Kurzbach. Then we will continue along the horse paddock and walnut plantation to the resting place by the bike path. From there, we will return along the bike path and go for a year-end rest at the inn “Zur Kreuzmühle”.
All are wonderful destinations and interesting routes that invite you to join the hikes. Therefore, you are cordially invited to participate and do something good for yourself and your fitness.
