"400 Years of French Music" Organ: Philippe Lefebvre

As part of the International Organ Concerts Bad Ems, the French organist Philippe Lefebvre presents a masterful concert on the symphonic Sandtner organ. With his virtuosic playing, he brings out the tonal diversity and expressiveness of this unique instrument.

The French music has influenced many centuries and continues to do so today. Paris has always been a center of cultural creativity that has attracted interest from all over the world. Philippe Lefebvre will dedicate his program to some great names and their works. Among them are renowned composers such as Marchand, Franck, Vièrne, Debussy, Dupré, and Duruflé, who represent the diversity of French organ music over the last four centuries. Lefebvre is the emeritus titular organist of Notre Dame in Paris, one of the venues for which many of these works were composed.
