Konzert im Limeskastell

Round birthday: the "Saar-Bretonen" play significant titles from the last 50 years for the anniversary. But also songs and dances that connect the well-known Celtic Folk Formation in a special way with their musical role models and companions.

The "Hermeline" are turning 50: half a century of musical ambassadors from Brittany (the Celtic part of France on the Atlantic), mainly in the German-speaking area but also in Europe between the Skagerrak and Emilia-Romagna! This special occasion is celebrated by the Saarland-Lorraine world music formation with an anniversary program: both as a retrospective of their band history and as a tribute to the musicians from Brittany and other Celtic regions who have supported and shaped the group from the very beginning. 

The title of the program Trug´  – an abbreviation of Trugarez (Breton: Thank you) – stands for the thanks to friends and teachers in Brittany, as well as to the organizers of the An Erminig concerts. 

The titles will be complemented by anecdotes and stories that aim to convey the enthusiasm of the Hermeline for this special region and its culture to the audience. Trug´ is the joy of the round band birthday, which AE wants to share with their audience, who have remained loyal to the band over the long years, and a musical journey of discovery through these many years. 50 and not a bit quiet – on to the second half-century!
