For a delightful autumn evening with the hunting horn blowers Rhein-Lahn and their horn master Bernd Helbach around hunting and hunters, guests are invited this time. Four cheerful hunting stories will be told by Dieter Bielicki and Gaby Fischer, including once again an episode from the life of Winzerhannes, whose uncle Fritz – just as sly as his nephew later on – had a special method of reducing the number of rabbits in Kalkofen.
The tame deer Franz-Josef, actually intended as easy prey for a high hunting guest, comes away unscathed, just like the young boar, who angrily “goes for” his hunter, who is hiding in a little tree.
And the freshly shot hare, which the pious church cantor Johann Friedrich Unverzagt finds at night and takes home as Christmas roast, leads to several confusions and still results in an engagement.
