When the scent of mulled wine and winter delicacies fills the air and festive sounds awaken the anticipation of Christmas, it’s that time again:

From December 11 to 13, 2026, the Emser Christmas Market will once again open its gates. In the festival area in front of the Catholic Church in Bad Ems, visitors can expect a weekend full of pre-Christmas atmosphere, lovingly crafted art, and culinary delights.
Guests can look forward to a diverse selection of handcrafts, delicious foods, and various mulled wine variations. Whether strolling leisurely through the market, discovering special gift ideas, or enjoying a hot cup of mulled wine together – the Emser Christmas Market offers the perfect setting to usher in the contemplative Advent season.
The musical and pre-Christmas program also promises special moments for young and old.

On Friday evening, Matthi Münch will open the Christmas Market with his music and provide an atmospheric start to the Advent weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, the children from the Bad Ems daycare centers will present a particularly festive contribution to the market with their Christmas songs. The Red Hussars will also provide musical accompaniment. Additionally, the little visitors can look forward to St. Nicholas, who will stop by as usual. The ponies from Schweighausen will also bring delight to children's eyes.

On Sunday, the Lahnsin(n)fonie will take over the musical arrangement and will create a festive atmosphere at the market with their sounds.
