Parallel paths of composers!
Rubén Russo presents: Albeniz, Liszt, De Falla, Brahms, Mozart, and Ravel
In this program, we embark on a journey along two different paths that intertwine and originate from the same period, showcasing the emotions and social concerns of the respective historical moment.
In 19th century Germany, there was a stylistic conflict between the followers of the styles of J. Brahms and R. Schumann and the so-called modern musicians, of whom F. Liszt was the most prominent. Starting from this moment in Western music, we move into the 20th century with M. Ravel, I. Albéniz, and M. de Falla, with W. A. Mozart serving as a link between both paths, aside from the friendship that connected most of these composers.
