Arzbach

Under the sign of the Stefansturm

The recognized resort is located on the heights of the Westerwald in the densely wooded landscape of the Nassau Nature Park, about six kilometers above the spa town of Bad Ems. Worth seeing here is above all the old town hall, a half-timbered building from 1710 and a collection of gravestones from the 16th century. The Limes hiking trail in the immediate vicinity offers hiking on particularly historically significant ground. Some sections of the approximately 2,000-year-old border wall still exist, while the reconstructed Stefansturm - situated on the top of a 423-metre high basalt cone - illustrates what a Roman watchtower once looked like. Arzbach with its almost 2000 inhabitants also offers a camping site, tennis courts, grass sports field and hard court, a large event hall ("Limeshalle") as well as a varied gastronomy.
