Our children have flown away in the meantime and we would like to share the beautiful home not only with the bats. We live in the romantic Gelbach valley between the Westerwald and Taunus. As the name "Weinähr" suggests, winegrowing is very important here. However, since hikers and cyclists have also discovered the advantages of the place, we are gladly and often visited by guests. Our peaceful Gelbach stream flows into the Lahn nearby. The small towns of Nassau and Bad Ems are not far away. Our village is located on wonderful hiking trails (e.g. the Lahn-Höhenweg, the LahnWanderweg, the Lahn-Camino...) and is an ideal resting or starting point for bicycle tours. The landscape varies from colourful meadows and green hills to steep slopes and rocks. A newly built circular hiking trail, the "LahnWeinSteig", in the village offers hikers many a sporting challenge as well as relaxing routes with great vantage points in the midst of magnificent botany and historic vineyards.
