Famous composers in the Kaiserbad

This guided tour promises a very special experience: two guides, dressed in historical costumes of course, tell and play at original locations about the events of the Ems spa guests in the 19th century. Fyodor Dostoevsky and Jaques Offenbach, for example, will have their say. Pleasantly entertaining and instructive - you have never experienced history like this before.

Summer in the 19th century Ems World Pool: The Vanities Fair is open! An international audience flocks to Ems to stroll along the promenade along the Lahn. It was the wedding of Ems, when the elegant world here sought relief from illness, but also diversion. The European aristocracy, politicians, artists and the "moneyed aristocracy" meet here. Among them also the great musicians and composers. Jacques Offenbach stayed at the Lahn for twelve years, and raved about the creative imagination he was inspired by. During this time, his world success "Orpheus in the Underworld" was also created. Richard Wagner must have experienced a similar inspiration during his stay in the fairytale castle of Balmoral, where he completes his "Parsifal".

Who else stayed in Bad Ems besides Niccolò Paganini, Franz Liszt, Carl-Maria von Weber or Clara Schumann and what anecdotes there are to tell about it is the topic of the new guided tour "Source of Inspiration".
