Canoe tour for the extra big outdoor experience

Wild and romantic river landscapes make the Lahn a paradise for canoeists. Past untouched floodplains or steep rock faces, there is something new to discover behind every bend in the river. On the way there are enough possibilities to visit a rest stop or a camping site.

This 2-day tour leads from Laurenburg to Lahnstein at the mouth of the Rhine.
In Laurenburg the canoe is moored at the public entry and exit point
in the water. After Laurenburg the paddle tour leads past a water ski track and the little village of Kalkofen. Not far away, and vineyards on the right hand side announce the wine village Obernhof. Between wooded hills, the Lahn then meanders from Obernhof to Nassau. Here you can see cultural treasures such as the Arnstein Monastery and Langenau Castle in addition to the natural idyll. The tour then leads through the Lahn meadows past the historic town of Dausenau to Bad Ems. There you can paddle along the stately backdrop of the noble spa architecture of the spa town before you reach Nievern after a total of three locks. Now the trip continues past the island of Oberau and after another two locks and about eight kilometres of river the mouth of the Rhine in Lahnstein is reached.

The Lahntalbahn brings you back to the starting point along the entire route at hourly intervals!
