Invitation to the Advent Hike from Bad Ems to Nassau with the Taunus Club on Sunday, December 7th
This year's Advent hike will take place on December 7th.
The meeting point is at 1 PM at Bad Ems West station. From there, the route leads along the Carl-Heyer-Promenade to the Ottmar-Canz-Brücke. Then it continues along Lahnstraße until Hasenbergweg. Here lies the main ascent of the entire route (a total of about 240 m elevation gain).
Over Hasenberg and Sonnenhalde with a view of Concordiaturmhöhe, it goes to Dausenau to the ring wall. Behind the Fuhr tower, the Oberbach and Langgasse are crossed, and there are a few steps leading to the old vineyard path to Nassau. The distance is approximately 12 km and requires sturdy footwear; trekking poles and drinks are recommended. Alternatively, hiking can also be done in small groups along the bike path.
In Nassau (arrival around 4:15 PM), a visit to the local Christmas market is planned. Afterwards, a joint stop will take place at the inn "Zur Krone" at 5 PM. The return trip is scheduled for 7:14 PM from Nassau.
A binding registration is requested for reservation at the inn, indicating whether a Deutschlandticket for the return trip is available, by Friday, December 5th, 2025, at 6 PM at 01578/7912198 or by email at krenzerpetra@gmail.com
Guests are, as always, warmly welcome!
