Concert for Cello and Piano - The Annabel Hauk Duo presents works by Woelfl, Mendelssohn, and Rachmaninoff

In 2021, the cellist Annabel Hauk completed her bachelor's degree at the New England Conservatory (NEC) in Boston under Prof. Laurence Lesser and is currently studying for her master's at the Mozarteum in Salzburg in Prof. Giovanni Gnocchi's class. She was born in 1999 in Frankfurt am Main and began learning the cello at the age of 5 with Erik Richter. From 2012 to 2017, she was a student of Prof. Istvan Vardai in the preparatory program at the Feuermann Conservatory of the Kronberg Academy.

Annabel Hauk received the 1st prize "Tachezi Special Prize" at the Mainardi Competition 2024 at Mozarteum Salzburg and is Classic FM Rising Star 2023. In the 2022 season, she performed as part of the Holland Music Sessions, among others, at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Philharmonie Bratislava, as well as with Gidon Kremer, Christian Tetzlaff, and Jörg Widmann at Chamber Music Connects the World of the Kronberg Academy. Additionally, she is a scholarship holder of the Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz, where she has already performed with Boris Garlitsky and Alexander Melnikov.

The Austrian pianist Martin Nöbauer performs on both modern and historical instruments. His success as a finalist at the Second International Chopin Competition on Historical Instruments in 2023 in Warsaw led to the Chopin Institute recently publishing a CD with his recordings from the competition. Prior to that, he won first prizes at the International Piano Competition "Classic on Danube" in Vienna and at the piano competition of the Hildegard Maschmann Foundation, held at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, which is aimed at European concert pianists from Austrian music universities. He received further awards at the International Fortepiano Competition Musica Antiqua in Bruges, as part of the Piano Academy Eppan, and at the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum University Salzburg (performance at the Salzburg Festival), as well as at Musica Juventutis and at the International Chamber Music Competition Fortepiano Plus Schloss Kremsegg (first prize). He has already appeared at festivals such as the Kulturkreis Deutschlandsberg (concert broadcast on Radio Ö1), the St. Florian Bruckner Days, the Mondsee Music Days, and as part of the VIP Classical concert series at the Dubai Opera. Together with Elisabeth Leonskaja, he performed at the Stars and Rising Stars Festival (Munich) and recently in the Great Hall of the Linzer Brucknerhaus.
