“In the Rhythm of Offenbach – Musical Masters in Bad Ems”

Supported by the Verein für Geschichte und Denkmalpflege Bad Ems, guests can look forward to an exciting walk through the historic spa district – a journey into the heyday of the 19th century, when Bad Ems was the meeting place of the European elite.
The focus of the tour is Jacques Offenbach, the famous composer who spent twelve summers as concertmaster in Bad Ems. In addition to him, the tour also highlights other artistic personalities who significantly shaped the city’s musical heritage.
The tour illuminates the cultural atmosphere of that time, when emperors, aristocrats, and intellectuals dominated the cityscape – in search of healing, inspiration, and social exchange.
