Neujahrsmatinée "Birth of light"

The Spectrum Chamber Choir presents its new program "Birth of Light" in Bad Ems at the beginning of the year. This time, the focus is on the theme of birth – a motif that is often addressed in Western music history through the figure of Mary and the narrative of Christ's birth.

In our program, we contrast these traditional works with compositions that dedicate themselves to light: its emergence, its energy, and its symbolic significance. This creates an exciting musical arc between spiritual representation and real experience, between golden imagery and modern perspective. Particular emphasis is placed on English composers whose works impress with clear lines, fresh harmonies, and diverse sonic approaches.
