Offenbachiade Bad Ems- Cello Konzert Landesjugendorchester

The musical highlight of the day begins at 5:00 p.m. with the orchestra concert conducted by conductor Michael Hofstätter.

The soloist of the evening is the cellist Roger Morelló Ros.

The state youth orchestra of Rhineland-Palatinate will perform. It will start with Jaques Offenbach's Cello Concerto in G major, followed by the world premiere of a work by composer Richard van Schoor, "Bach up! A little fantasy on Jacques Offenbach,”, an arrangement for brass and percussion based on themes by Jacques Offenbach.

Finally, the 4th Symphony, the Italian, by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy will be performed.

The cello part will be played by the soloist Roger Morelló Ros.

Before the performance of the Cello Concerto in G major by Jacques Offenbach, Offenbach specialist Dr. Peter Hawig will introduce the work at 4:30 p.m.
