At that time, the historic spa district resembled a fair of vanities: crowned heads, nobility, bourgeoisie, and politicians strolled along the promenades – always in search of healing, inspiration, and companionship.

At the center of this tour is the composer Jacques Offenbach, who worked as concertmaster in Bad Ems for twelve summers – accompanied by numerous other artists who shaped the musical heritage of the spa town.
