“In the Rhythm of Offenbach – Musical Masters in Bad Ems”
Supported by the Association for History and Monument Preservation Bad Ems, guests can expect an exciting walk through the historic spa district – a journey into the heyday of the 19th century, when Bad Ems was the meeting point of the European elite.
At the center of the tour is Jacques Offenbach, the famous composer who spent twelve summers as concertmaster in Bad Ems. Alongside him, the tour also highlights other artistic figures who significantly shaped the musical heritage of the city.
The tour illuminates the cultural atmosphere of that time when emperors, aristocrats, and intellectuals dominated the urban landscape – in search of healing, inspiration, and social exchange.
