FINK KÖRNER DUO

In their joint program, Hansjörg Fink, trombone and Gero Körner, piano can fully showcase their wide stylistic range. The chamber music arrangement of the duo formation gives both instrumentalists numerous opportunities to interpret various styles at the highest musical level in a diverse and creative way.

Their musical discussion revolves around their own arrangements of jazz standards or pop songs, film music themes, as well as progressive jazz or classical compositions. The focus is always on communication – the art of playing in a duo. And this art is, regardless of any style, primarily a matter of listening and responding to each other. Fink and Körner, who have been making music together in various projects for years, can truly engage with one another in this program and share their common love for music across stylistic boundaries.
