The last of its kind, standing over a running spring of medicinal water
The drill tower was built in 1939 to guarantee the supply of spring water in Bad Ems. The tower has been restored recently and is the only one of its kind standing over a running curative water spring. It protects the curative water spring under it and the extraction technology. When you are tasting the “Bad Emser Haustrunk” ( curative spring water) you are drinking the water produced here. The tower is also used to maintain the facilities for producing the spring water.
