Attenhausen
The tour starts at the "Sportarena" in the small Taunus municipality of Attenhausen and leads above the Dörsbachtal (Jammertal), along forest and field paths, deep into the beautiful Einrich. Unique distant views open up and invite contemplation. About halfway through the 14-kilometer long route, the ruins of Brunnenburg monastery can be visited, situated above the Lahntal. Following a path of the monastery trail as well as the former Hessenstraße, the route leads to Seelbach and from there back to Attenhausen. A total of 240 meters in elevation gain must be overcome with moderate ascents. A final break with coffee and cake is planned. Sturdy footwear, weatherproof clothing, and personal snack provisions are mandatory. Guests are warmly welcome. Participation is at your own risk.
Meeting point is at 9:15 a.m. at the Westbahnhof in Bad Ems for the formation of carpool groups. Alternatively, the meeting point is at 10:00 a.m. at the parking lot of the Sportarena in 56370 Attenhausen.
