Where the Lahn takes the bend

In the middle of the romantic Lahnbogen lies the village of Nievern. Worth seeing from older times is especially the parish church with its Romanesque tower from the 13th century. In the local history museum you can see sights from the history of the village. From Nievern there are attractive walks, for example the circular walk to the nature reserve "Nieverner Wehr", a reserve with rare bird and snake species, through the Fröschbach valley or to the Hohen Malberg with its panoramic view of Bad Ems. Fishing enthusiasts also have plenty of opportunities to pursue their hobby on the banks of the Lahn. And for water sports enthusiasts, for example, a canoe tour is a must. Thanks to its location directly on the Lahn cycle path R36, Nievern is also an ideal stopover for cyclists.
