Freiherr-vom-Stein-Park

Within the framework of the Freiherr-vom-Stein Year 2007, on the occasion of the 250th birthday of Freiherr vom Stein and the 200th anniversary of his Nassau memorial, the birthplace of Freiherr vom Stein, opens its Freiherr-vom-Stein Park, starting from the park of Nassau Castle and extending to the newly designed Lahn floodplains. The Freiherr-vom-Stein-Park offers a variety of possibilities for local recreation, sports and long walks: Areas for minigolf and playgrounds for children are integrated into the park. At the same time, the park also takes into account the heritage of Freiherr vom Stein: a time axis provides information about the life and work of Freiherr vom Stein as well as about his roots in Nassau and his heritage. From the city centre, the nearest entrance to the park is located opposite the palace park; there a new monument commemorates Baron vom Stein.
