Mainzer House

Outside of Ems on his own territory the elector Anselm Franz from Mainz had this bathhouse built in 1694. In 1786 it was the scene for the “Emser Kongress”, a meeting of the German bishops. The house and the gardens have been restored lovingly by the local “Society for History and Preservation of Historical Monuments”.
