Winery and wine bar with a wonderful view of the Lahn Valley
The Lahn winery Uwe & Sabine Haxel is located directly below the Arnstein monastery. The beautiful outdoor terrace with a view of the Goethe Point and the Lahn invites you to dream with a glass of wine in our own wine tavern. The family runs the Lahn Winery in the 3rd generation.
Spätburgunder and Riesling are grown on the estate. Rivaner is also in the assortment. The Haxel family has something for every taste, whether sweet, semi-dry, fine-tangy, dry, in the cellar. After careful care, the self-produced wines with fruity flower and fine acidity are bottled by the producer.
So far, 49 bronze chamber price coins and 39 silver chamber price coins have been achieved since 1977. The highest award was the 2012 golden chamber prize coin for a 2011 Riesling Spätlese dry and in 2015 a golden chamber prize coin for a 2014 Spätburgunder red wine quality wine dry. In 2007, a special rarity was achieved: a Riesling Beerenauslese, which was awarded silver at the state award and bronze at the federal wine award.
