Ideal for a family trip
The Wild-Freizeitpark-Westerwald offers pure nature in a wild and romantic landscape, idyllically but centrally located in the triangle Montabaur, Bad Ems and Limburg. The 64-hectare site is in the middle of the Nassau Nature Park, in the beautiful Gelbachtal, one of the most romantic side valleys of the Lahn. Nature, environmental protection and sustainability play a major role in the park.
More than 20 native or formerly native animal species - such as the brown bears Sally and Purzel - live in the park - our fallow deer even almost like in the wild. On well-prepared forest paths, visitors can get very close to the animals in the spacious outdoor enclosure. In addition, there is a toboggan run, adventure playground, barbecue areas and beautiful views of the low mountain range landscape. Our game park - an oasis of relaxation! Leashed dogs are welcome.

Artenschutz
Zoologische Einrichtungen wie unser Wildpark leisten im Bereich Artenschutz viel wertvolle Arbeit. Einige Arten werden etwa durch die gezielte Zucht innerhalb dieser Einrichtungen vom Aussterben bewahrt. Bei vielen Tierarten, wie beispielsweise dem Europäischen Wisent, konnte durch Wiederauswilderung sogar wieder eine freilebende Population aufgebaut werden.
Heutzutage sind viele Arten vor allem durch die Zerstörung von Lebensräumen bedroht. Auch engagieren sich zoologische Einrichtungen mit Geldern, die vor Ort in die Aufklärung der Menschen und den Schutz der Lebensräume investiert werden.
