the amateur choirs of rhineland-palatinate
The 12th State Choir Competition of the Rhineland-Palatinate amateur choirs takes place on September 26 and 27 in the Kursaal building in Bad Ems.
20 choirs and ensembles will compete in nine categories. As an artistic highlight, the internationally renowned vocal ensemble amarcord will perform on Saturday evening.
From children's choirs to chamber and pop ensembles, up to large concert choirs, the participants will musically compete at a high level. The public evaluation singing will take place on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
Admission is free.
With successful participation, the choirs can qualify for the German Choir Competition 2027 in Leipzig.
The competition is organized by the State Music Council of Rhineland-Palatinate. Listeners are expressly welcome.
