Event-Tag in Dausenau

On May 16, guests can expect a diverse program at the Event Day in the historic town center of Dausenau:

9:00 a.m.to approx. 5:00 p.m. The association "Braukultur Duzenowe", which operates one of the smallest microbreweries in Germany on a voluntary basis, will begin the day in Dausenau with a public brewing demonstration in the courtyard of the brewing barn, right in the village. Visitors can enjoy craft brewing with all their senses. From heating the mash in old wood-fired kettles, to lautering (separating solid grains from liquid wort) and boiling the wort with hops, the entire brewing process of an Irish Red Beer will be visible up close. All processes can be questioned by the brewers, and participation is partially possible.

2:00 p.m. Participation in a guided tour by the association "Historisches Dausenau" along the historic city wall is possible. Simultaneously, coffee and cake will be available for sale in the brewing barn.

3:00 p.m. The local community of Dausenau is a member of "Local Alliances for Family" and is participating in the action day 2026, on the "International Day of Families". A face painting event with Denise will take place at the town hall, and all children will receive a small surprise from Wolfgang.

4:00 p.m. An Irish dance workshop will be held, serving as a foundation for the traditional Irish Céilí dance in the evening. A Céilí dance is, by the way, a social event for young and old, focusing on fun and community.

5:30 p.m. Visit from the Consul Generalof Ireland, Anne-Marie Flynn.

6:00 p.m. The Irish folk bands “Old Sheep Streetband” and “Piper’s Call” will perform. We owe the possibility of free admission to the music festival to the following sponsors:

7:00 p.m. Sláinte! Whiskey tasting with Sebastian and Alina.

9:00 p.m. “Greening” at the Leaning Tower with Frank, Heiko, and Jürgen.

For the culinary wellbeing, the local gastronomy, including Braukultur Duzenowe, Gasthaus Zum Schiefen Turm, Bodo Events, and the organizer Cultural and Homeland Association Dausenau e.V., has made excellent provisions.
