GEGEN DEN STROM: Saxofourte

A musical journey through the century with SAXOFOURTE and singer Kathrin Sälzle 

Saxophone quartets have a niche existence in chamber music. Not much is known about them. In the case of SAXOFOURTE , that is an advantage. Because what one would know, one would have to forget anyway. 

SAXOFOURTE is different. From the simple basic recipe of a saxophone quartet - two women, two men, four saxophones - comes a musical natural phenomenon at SAXOFOURTE that the listener cannot escape. 

Additional attraction and vocal support on this special evening comes from Kathrin Sälzle. She interprets songs from the Threepenny Opera, tangos, and works composed especially for SAXOFOURTE with her voice, which guarantees goosebumps.
