“The New Year's Concert with the Johann Strauss Orchestra Wiesbaden at the Kurtheater Bad Ems has a long-standing tradition."

Many concertgoers remember the spirited concerts under the legendary founder and decades-long conductor of the orchestra, Herbert Siebert.

The immortal melodies of Johann Strauss have lost none of their luster, and so this popular concert will also take place in 2027 on the first Sunday morning of the New Year!

The audience can look forward to a cheerful and exhilarating program of waltzes, polkas, tangos, overtures, and other pieces from the time of Johann Strauss, Franz Lehár, and Jacques Offenbach.

Fans of operetta will not be disappointed: This year, popular songs and arias from well-known operettas will be performed, sung by soprano Annette Luig.

The concert will be conducted by Jud Perry, who was praised by the audience and press last year for his lively and highly musical conducting.

The moderator Claudia Grundmann will once again lead the program with entertaining anecdotes about the musical pieces.”
