A long period of planning and waiting has now come to an end.
On February 1, 2022, the excavator arrived on time to begin the earthworks for the new recreational and playground area.
In addition to many play equipment and a water playground, a large play ship will be the centerpiece of the new playground.
The adjoining open space is suitable for ball games and as a sunbathing area along the banks of the Lahn.
A pathway will be created for water sports enthusiasts, allowing, for example, canoes to be brought to the bank of the Lahn.
Banks and an overall well-maintained recreational and riverside area invite you to a "day at the Lahn beach" in Obernhof.
Depending on the weather, the opening of the recreational and meeting center is expected in mid-May.
