Singhofen Open Air Pool

The Singhofen open-air swimming pool, gently embedded in the Dermbach valley, has been operated by the local community of Singhofen since its complete renovation in 1996 and is open from May to mid September. In 1968 the bath was put into operation, which was extended in 1971 by a swimmer's pool. Three years later, due to the coming into effect of the transfer of tasks regulation of September 2, 1974, the bath was transferred to the Nassau association municipality and was transferred back again on September 1, 1996. With the general refurbishment, the concept of services was fundamentally changed in order to provide the population with a modern leisure pool while taking the financial framework conditions into account. The swimmer's pool was filled in and used for the surge water tank. The second pool was reduced to a size of 25 x 20 m and is divided into a swimmer area, water height approx. 1.4 m and a non-swimmer area, water height 0.6 to 1.2 m. Besides various water attractions, a wide slide forms the main attraction. The facility is heated by solar technology. With all these measures, it was possible to meet the demand in Singhofen. The bath is also characterised by its natural location with large shady sunbathing areas. In addition to children's playground equipment, there is a large beach volleyball field. A swimming pool restaurant and a directly adjacent camping site round off the overall offer. The nice little outdoor pool is very popular with families.
